There are two kinds of Golf Events. The first type we refer to as "formal" events. Registration for formal events is via a link to a Constant Contact form and you pay for the event when you register. Formal events include a friendly team competition and prizes for closest to the pin and long putt. Dinner follows golf and is included with the price of the event.
The other type of Golf Event is the informal golf outing. Registration for informal events is via a link to an Evite invitation. However, no payment is made to TRSGC. Instead, members pay the golf course directly themselves on the day of the event. Dinner following golf is optional. Prizes are not provided although someone may organize "greenies" for closest to the pin on Par 3's.
With either type of event, if you need to cancel please do so at the earliest time so that we may adjust pairings and inform the golf course of any tee times that need to be released. No shows and failure to cancel in advance per the event guidelines and the TRSGC cancellation policy will result in the loss of part or all of any payment or in the case of the the informal event may result in your removal from future Evite invitations. In the case of events that reach capacity, cancelling in advance enables another member to register - giving them opportunity to participate.
